Eurocontrol’s SESAR and FAA’s NextGen program envisage replacing textual NOTAMs (Notices to Air Man) with digital NOTAMs in future aeronautical information management. This project uses and expands semantic technologies in order to additionally filter and query digital NOTAMs in a fine-grained and intelligent manner. A comprehensive range of logical criteria, such as event types, types of aircraft or flights, as well as local and spatial reference are taken into account.
